Do you know someone who would benefit from EqualSkills training?
- John wants to book flights on the internet without having to call his nephew to help out
- Linda just wants to keep in touch with friends and family abroad by email
- Ciaran wants to read the news on his computer and book a hotel room for this weekend
What do these people all have in common?
They want to use a computer to make their lives easier.
In eight short classes over four weeks, they could be ‘logging-on’ to a new way of life!
EqualSkills was created for anybody who wants to start from the beginning and learn some practical ways of using a computer. It is particularly aimed at people who might not normally come into contact with computers in their everyday lives.
Maybe you are accustomed to living in a non-digital world and may feel intimidated by technology?
By learning some simple computer skills, you can quickly understand how technology can improve your quality of life.
What is covered?
We start from the beginning, assuming no level of knowledge about computers. This way you can learn step by step and be fully competent by day eight.
The central content of EqualSkills is the use of the internet and email. The learner will be able to use the internet to search for information, and to send and receive emails. You will also learn how to create simple documents such as letters.
EqualSkills also covers everything that a beginner needs to know to be able to use the computer. The programme also explains how to use the mouse and keyboard to give instructions to the computer. Click www.equalskills.com for more information.
