Description
This three-day course provides an overview of SAS Data Integration Studio , formerly known as SAS ETL Studio . You learn how to navigate through the Data Integration Studio interface and to extract, transform, and load data using Data Integration Studio. Additional topics include how to use DI Studio plug-ins and data warehouse management such as change management, scheduling, and use of metadata.
Objectives
After completing this course attendees will be able to create architecture and designs for an integrated information architecture, including:
- the Enterprise storage layer of a data warehouse, based on the most common physical models used
- OLAP data marts
- data mining data marts
- processes (ETL - Extract, Transform and Load) used in loading the Enterprise layer and in maintaining data marts
- management and publishing of metadata
- managing the environment, including archival and backup of data
- basic principles of planning the infrastructure (hardware and software)
- considerations for optimal performance in large data warehouses
Prerequisite Skills
Before attending this course, you should complete:
- one of our range of SAS Essentials courses
- SAS Programming
- SQL Processing with the SAS.
Software Used
This course uses SAS Data Integration Studio . This course also addresses SAS Management Console and DataFlux dfPower Studio.
